ISP :

Hello guys,

I am trying to set up my network at home as follows:
- ISP is connected into the WAN port of an Asus RT-N56U which does the routing job with the wireless antennas shut down;
- 2 x TP-Link TL-WR843ND are set up as AP's with wired SFTP cable connection from their respective WAN ports to each corresponding passive PoE injector which are connected then in the RT-N56U's LAN ports.

The issue is that in this setup mode, the TL-WR843ND's do not detect link on their WAN port.

If I disconnect from passive PoE injector and power them up traditionally with the power adaptor, then the link on their WAN port is detected.

Am I missing something here?

The cabling standard used is T568B.

Can somebody help me out on this with some opinions ?

Thanks,
Mircea.

You followed the guidance below to connect them, right? But in topology as below, WR843ND is working in WISP mode.

In your case, are you trying to use WR843 as wireless router or access point? If you use them as access points, WAN port should not be connected.
