Model: Archer AX10
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.10 Build 20240130 Rel. 77367

TP-Link Archer AX10 V2.8 (IN) version, expecting it to fully comply with Indian regulations as outlined by the Wireless Planning and Coordination (WPC) authority. However, I noticed that the router is locked to a limited set of channels, which seems inconsistent with the Indian rules for Wi-Fi channel allocation.

Given that this is the India-specific version, I am puzzled as to why it does not adhere to the WPC guidelines. This limitation significantly impacts the router's performance and usability in the Indian context.

Additionally, I have been unable to find any firmware updates for this model that might address these issues. Could TP-Link provide clarity on the following:

1. Why is the router locked to limited channels despite being labeled as the India version?

2. When can we expect a firmware update to resolve this issue?

Hi,

Please note that the Archer AX10 does not support "DFS" channels in any region it is being sold.

The (EU) version of the AX10 supports channels 1 - 13 in the 2.4 GHz band and channels 36 - 48 in the 5 GHz band.

The (US) version of the AX10 supports channels 1 - 11 in the 2.4 GHz band and channels 36 - 48 and 149 - 165 in the 5 GHz band.

What channels does your (IN) version support?

Only TP-Link themselves will know why.

Personally, I guess that this is a marketing decision.

I think the Archer AX53 is currently the lowest-priced model that supports DFS. https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax53/#specifications
