Model: Archer BE800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20250314 rel.45415(4153)

I use TP-Link BE800 Router, After the upgrade to latest firmware, I noticed a significant speed drop over Wi-Fi all the band (5GHz, 6GHz, and MLO.), while the LAN connection remains normal. I tested with multiple devices, and the issue persisted consistently.

I also tested using another router on the same network (connected to the same upstream router), and no speed drop issues were observed there — which confirms the issue is specific to the TP-Link BE800.

To troubleshoot, I downgraded the firmware to the previous version:
1.2.1 Build 20250108 rel.48985(4153)

After the downgrade, Wi-Fi performance returned to normal with no more speed issues.
This leads me to believe the issue is related to the latest firmware version (1.2.3).

Please investigate this further,

Thanks!

Hi@NingSP,

We are sorry that the new firmware brings you a bad experience.
We have not received other similar feedback so far. If possible, can you provide the following information:
1. Did you test the specific speed when the problem occurred?
2. What clients did you test the speed?
3. Which specific bands have the speed reduction problem?

Please test the speed at the same node and the same location for comparison:
1. Fixed 5G channel to 36, channel width to 80Mhz, and test the speed of 5Ghz alone;
2. Fixed 6G channel to 69 (PSC), Mode to 802.11BE, channel width is 320Mhz,and test the speed of 6Ghz alone.
Please refer to Changing Channel and Channel Width on a TP-Link Router
