Dear all,
Desperation and frustration after read a lot of portals and posts all around internet applying different suggested solutions and after ask for support to TP-LINK guys through their web portal, brings me here,
After check the unsuccessful process of 3g/4G modem identification performed by the MR-3040 msgs showing the device as "Unknown" and most recently "Unplugged", below I will be explaining all the troubleshooting and configuration steps that I've been performing so far:
1) Upgrade the MR30-40 from version TL-MR3040_V2_121017 to newest TL-MR3040_V2_131121
2) Upload the Binary file called "e173_vid(12d1)_pid(1c05)_file(5)_entry(1).bin" extracted/downloaded from http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/3g/
3) Perform every TS steps shown on the page: http://www.tp-link.com/en/FAQ-400.html
And reviewing every step once again with no major advance getting the same result, "3G/4G USB Modem status: Unplugged", even when the device works perfectly on a PC using Windows 7, BTW the modem is unlocked and I've been testing it using lines 3G & 4G,
Below I'll be showing the Syslogs obtained during previous troubleshooting:
1) These are the router logs with the default config after a starting:
