Same feeling.

The LED design is indeed becoming less functional. But a lot of electronic products is going on similar way. I can still remember years ago people usually modify a lot things on their Windows system, but nowadays windows is also becoming more and more simplified...

More brief outlook, less information, less settings or technical things provided, I think this is the trend most people like to see.. Even myself are becoming less enthusiastic about digging into electric products. Sometimes just buy it and use it.

I understand what you mean but nevertheless I think TP-Link on the wrong way with high end products.

I owned a router huawei hg 655b and wlan led blinking was a pain for my eyes on night, too brightness and blinking never stopped. On router more important is to working great, not number of blinking leds or other shining stuff. I like my actualy router tp-link, working great, is discreet and no invasive on my eyes.

That's not the issue here ! :rolleyes:
With Netgear or Asus, it's possible to switch off the leds... which is not possible on TP-Link routers... :D

Another issue, I can add here among the suppressed elements.

Who is the R&D responsible who decided to suppress the rubber feet?

The new R6400 (AC1750 replacing the R6300 v2) uses 12 leds (with 2 colors)...
