Troubleshooting TP-Link Archer MR400 2.4 GHz Issue

  1. Check Settings:
    • Log into web interface (http://192.168.0.1).
    • Go to Wireless > Wireless Settings.
    • Ensure Enable Wireless Radio for 2.4 GHz is checked.
    • Set a unique SSID for 2.4 GHz (e.g., "MyHome_2.4").
  2. Update Firmware:
    • Download latest firmware from TP-Link Support.
    • In web interface, go to System Tools > Firmware Upgrade, upload file, and update.
  3. Reset Router:
    • Press reset button for 5-10 seconds or go to System Tools > Factory Reset.
    • Reconfigure router and check 2.4 GHz settings.
  4. Check Hardware:
    • If 2.4 GHz still fails, it may be a hardware defect. Contact TP-Link support.
  5. Workaround:
    • Use 2.4 GHz guest network temporarily, but set a strong password.

Note: If firmware update/reset doesn’t fix it, report the issue to TP-Link as a potential firmware bug.
