I have 2 of these range extenders. I want to change the SSID on each to reflect their physical position at home. When I set the first one up using the TP-Link Tether Android app on my Android tablet, it gave it an SSID ending in EXT. I was able to change its ip (LAN) Address in the Tether app so that it was the same as the Reserved ip Address on DHCP Server in my TP-Link Archer C80 router. Some questions:

1. But the router does not allocate an ip address on the router's DHCP Server.

2. I can't connect to the extender on wifi on my Android tablet. It sees the extender but seems to reject the password that I created in the Tether app for the extender.

3. I can 'login' to the extender in my tablet's Web Browser using the ip (LAN) Address but even though I can see the various parameters such as SSID & Password, there is no facility to change any e.g. SSID.

Can anybody tell me how to solve any of these problems?

PS I've tried Resetting the extender, but that didn't help.
