Actually my model is a BE9300. Not listed here for some reason.

I have a 3 story house with an AP on each floor. My middle floor is the location for my BE9300 router.

When I move from say floor 1 to the middle floor, my wifi connection wants to stay connected to the now weaker signal from the AP on floor 1.

I want to to switch to Floor 2 where the BE9300 is as it utilizes the WiFi 6 faster connection.

I have to turn off/on my phone wifi for it to connect to leave the AP floor 1 and go to Floor 2 BE9300 WiFi 6.

So I would like to adjust the BE9300 so my phone will jump to it and leave the Floor 1 AP. I cannot adjust the Floor 1 AP any less or it wont cover Floor 1 correctly.

What trick to use to adjust the BE9300?

The two options for changing signal strength are:

1. Positioning the router for optimal performance and reception - details.

2. Changing the transmit power of the router - details.

As stated above, try changing the transmission power to low on all your AP's.

I have a 3 story house ( thick brick internal walls ect,

I use a ax72 on the ground floor but I also use another Ax72 on my top floor as well as in my mancave at the bottom of my garden,

When the transmission power on either device was on 'high' non of my devices wanted to switch/roam,

Since I switched to low transmission nearly all my roaming devices now roam besides oddly enough its my kids nintendo switches That refuse outright  to switch until the device wifi turns off and back on again.

May I suggest downloading a app called wifi man,

It will show your device moving and connecting between your AP.

The above shows i have 3 routers 2x in AP mode and one pic demonstrates how it shows how I move between AP points, all my AP have the same ssid and passwords.

You may find that you won't need a AP on every floor of your house like i do and having one on the top floor and on your ground floor is more than enough.

My routers even on low transmission have loads of coverage even covering quite a distance down my road before I even get near my home.
