Model: Archer C64
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.14.3 Build 241025 Rel.69770n(4555)

Hi, guys!

My setup is as follows:

There is an optical network unit that goes to the main router (Archer C64). Two devices are connected to the main router: My PC and second router. The second router is super-old TP-LINK dinosaur.

The problem is LAN ports speed. Optical Terminal, Main Router and PC and connected by cat6 ethernet cable, however, the main and second router are connected by a 100 mbit cable. When the second router is disconnected, the LAN port speed for my PC is 1000 mbit. However, when the second router is connected to the main one, the LAN port speed for both ports is 100 mbit. Ping is increased too. Is there are way to keep different LAN port speed for those two ports?

As for the Feature request, it will be cool if LAN port speed can be choosen manually for each port.

Ookla tests are attached. I appreciate any help.

Hi @KaiDush,

Thank you for reporting your issue to community.

May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:
ISP modem—router C64—PC and old router )))((( client devices
(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

Is there any switch between C64 and old router? What is the model of the old router? Which port of the old router is connected to the C64?

Please try different LAN ports of the C64. If you can, please try different Ethernet cables (CAT5E or above) between the Routers and PC.

@Joseph-TP Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply!

May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows >> Correct. Here is a Cisco Packet Tracer scheme:

Is there any switch between C64 and old router? >> No

What is the model of the old router? >> TP-Link WR740N

Which port of the old router is connected to the C64?>> Internet port, as there are two subnets (192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24).

Please try different LAN ports of the C64 >> The port speed of ArcherC64 LAN->PC port is set to 1Gbit whe the ArcherC64->WR740N cable is unplugged. Once it's plugged in back or if the cable is already plugged in while I'm connecting the PC, it goes down to 100Mbit. Tried different ports. Screenshots below:

If you can, please try different Ethernet cables (CAT5E or above) between the Routers and PC. >> I'll try. It can take some time.

@Joseph-TP Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I was contacted by the tech team, however, the issue was self-resolved frown
I don't know how, as I didn't change any settings on all devices, but the port speed values are fine now.
Thank you for moral support :--)
