Model: Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.2

Dear Experts,

I have Deco X50 / PoE with a switch TL-SF1005P. I am struggling with getting optimum speed and need some help. I have a 800 Mbps speed.

The cables i am using throughout this setup is Cat6 which is more than capable of handling Gigabit speeds.

Now, right now my configuration is :

Internet -- Modem -- X50 Router Main -- Switch, so here I have utilized my 2 ports.

From Switch - It connects 2 more satellite and One PC through Lan cables.

Coming to Speed --- I get Full 800 Mbps on PC through speedtest.

Now on the Wifi (no matter how near i am to the devices) I am just getting half of the speed -- 440 Mbps max

What could be the problem ? Or is this normal to have the speeds dipped to almost half on Wifi ? Should i directly connect Internet -- Modem -- Switch and then distribute it to Main routers and other satellites ?

Thanks a lot in anitcipation.

Regards,

Rikki

Hi, welcome to our community.

Your current network topology is good and no need to adjust it.

And this guide is for your reference: General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

Did you also test the wireless internet speed on the same computer?  Which Deco is your computer connected to? Please share us the screenshot of link speed following the guide.

Best regards.

@Rikki9 are you sure you have a TL-SF1005P switch? Because that model it's fast Ethernet it works only up to 100 Mbps. You need a gigabit switch to achieve higher speeds.
