WDR4300 unstable, weak bridge
Region : Macau
Model : TL-WDR4300
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.13.17 Build 120426 Rel.29216n
ISP : Macau CTM
Hi guys.
Noob here, let me try to explain.
My modem is connected to a 300M Model No. TL-WR1043ND router
when Im wired to this router LAN port, i get 99Mbps, the internet provides 100Mbps, so I take that.
Inside my room I've installed a WDR 4300 to bridge the wifi signal, all set and my PC wired to this WDR4300 gets 40Mbps, which is rather weak, imo.
I've try to use WDR4300 as a "transmitter" connecting it to the modem, but after setting all up, both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz is unstable.
So unstable that the router itself disconnects the signal and even "dies" and needs to "reset".
So I read around that WDR 4300 has issues when "transmitting" from modem.
So questions are:
WDR4300 makes a better "transmitter" than a 300M? Can I get better speed with WDR4300 as a bridge? Have you guys figure out how to make WDR4300 a more stable wired router (transmitter)?
Sorry for this kind of noobish in specific terms.
Thanks in advance.
