Hey,

I have a Problem with my new RE650. I want to use it as a Mesh repeater with my Archer VR2100v. 

The Setup works with no Problem. My Devices will connect to the repeater seamlessly. But after some time there is no more internet available. It will come back after around 5 minutes. Then this cycle repeats.

Both devices have OneMesh enabled and I can also see the RE650 inide the Archer dashboard. It is the only mesh device I use.

Firmwares are up to date.

I once looked inside the dashboard of the RE650, when I lost the internet connection. It said, that mesh is disabled at the router, what was not the case.

I also tried to disable mesh on both devices and reanabled it with no success.

 

I hope someone can help me :)

Hi@Felixxxx,

Please hard reset the range extender and set it without onemesh for a comparison.
May I know how often does the issue occur?

 

For intermittent wireless connection on the range extender, please refer to the following suggestions:

  1. Confirm the extender is properly located based on How to place your wireless Range Extender for optimal reception and performance.
  2. Make sure the firmware on the extender is up-to-date.
  3. Disable Parental Control or Access Control (Blacklist/ Whitelist) on the host router if they have been enabled for the extender.
  4. Turn off Band Steering (also called "Smart Connect" or "Whole-Home Wi-Fi") and set up different Wireless names for the router's 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi.
  5. Fix the wireless channels on the host router, such as channel 11 for 2.4GHz and channel 48 for 5GHz.
