TL-WA850RE Not seeing other PCs on root router

The extender is working great and all machines either connected to the root router or the extender can access the internet without problem. However, the PCs on the extender cannot see the PCs on the root router and vice versa -> so its not possible to share files between them etc. Is this a configuration issue? How do I resolve this?
