I done resetting the said router based on the manual provided in the package. But still I cannot access the 192.168.0.1, if I plugged the network cable from my pc to the said router. It will just give or assigned an ip address to my pc in this format, 169.254.xxx.xxx which is not correct. My pc network setting is in DHCP. Please help how to fix#

169.254.xxx.xxx which is not correct.

This is problem with connection between router and computer or is something wrong with DHCP server on the router.

There is a switch on device itself to change mode. Is it 3G/4G?

Try a different PC. If it is the same, your device is defective I think.

Hi Solaris

Try these
1, set switch to 3G/4G
2, press the reset button for 12 seconds, then release
3, connect your PC's LAN to TL-MR3040's LAN port
4, make sure your PC's setings are set to "obtain IP address automatically" and "obtain DNS server address automatically"

Also, please make sure that the LAN cable you are using is working.

If you are able to get an IP address (192.168.x.x.), please check the gateway IP, that is the TL-MR3040's
LAN IP that you need to type onto the browser's address bar.

Good luck.

I had the same issue previously. The main Deco is used as a router and my ISP is PPPoE connection with VLan enabled. This setting causes the 2nd Ethernet port to be restricted to IPTV only, hence you cannot get a normal DHCP IP for wired LAN connection.
