Region : Sweden
Model : Archer C7
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version : 3.14.1 Build 140911 Rel.41201n
ISP :
I just bought a Archer C7 and I´m trying to get my Western Digital 3TB USB3.0 to work with my router. But I cant even find it. When I test with a USB-memory the router can find it but the settings menu are totally differrent than it should be. I can see in the User Guide and the Simulator that I should have these settings under "USB Settings":
- Storage Sharing
- FTP Server
- Media Server
- Print Server
- User Accounts
But I just have these settings:
- Disk Settings
- Folder Sharing
- Print Server
Is there anything I should do to get the other settings or is it something wrong?

It seems 3TB is not supported. There is explaination about it.

As to settings page, maybe it is an update for some reason...

I changed to a 1TB HDD and now it can find it. But how do I use it like an external drive thru the network?

Storage Sharing or FTP Server
I dont have "Storage Sharing" as a menu option, I only have
- Disk Settings
- Folder Sharing
- Print Server
And none of these makes the HDD a mass storage device, I can only use them as a as a Media Device

On Folder Sharing page, any FTP option? Is it similar to the instruction as below?

Do you have Archer C7? You have to see USB Settings tab.

This is how it looks.
I can connect to it via FTP but if I store alot of movies or music I dont want to download it every time, is it possible to just use it like a normal external HDD?

Xbox One DLNA
2014-10-27 00:57:43
I’m using an Archer C7 (Hardware Version: Archer C7 v2/v3 00000000) with external USB drives connected to the router. The drives can be seen and used on all on my PC’s via file sharing, however my Xbox One will not show the shares. The last Archer C7 firmware states (Improved the compatibility with DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) devices and enhanced the overall performance).
Can anyone tell me how to get my external USB drives that work on the network shares to show up on my Xbox One console when attempting to play videos? I’ve see a hidden folders called .TPDLNA on the USB drives but not sure what that means.
The user guide seems to be outdated compared to the latest firmware.
Any help is appreciated.
