Hi,

I encountered following problem after upgrading the firmware to Archer C7_v1_140903.

Whenever I change the IP number of the router from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 I cannot login into the WebGUI.
I setup everything after the firmware upgrade. I restarted the router several times and everything works fine.

After everything was in place i changed the IP number from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 to meet the needs of my network.
After the restart I cannot login anymore to the WebGUI.

I reset to factory settings by pressing the reset button for 15 seconds. Everything was OK again. I changed the setup again and as before everything worked until i changed the IP address.

Same as before the router worked, but I cannot access the WebGUI.

When I enter username and password and press enter I get a new empty login mask.

Is there a work around ?? I want to use the new update for better 5GHz support.

What's the IP number of your modem? Is there IP conflict if you change router's IP to 192.168.1.1?
Try a different one like 192.168.2.1. Does it work?

Before upgrading and after downgrading the router had 192.168.1.1.
I have tried a private connection with a cable between the router and my laptop and configured my laptop to 192.168.1.200.
Only the laptop and the router in the network and I had the same effect.

Default IP should be 192.168.0.1...
If only laptop and router in the network, with DHCP on, what's the IP address and default gateway obtained automatically?

Hi Ada,

I don't use dhcp on the router. The IP of the laptop is fixed and set to 192.168.0.200 (works) and to 192.168.1.200 after the change (doesn't work).
I can ping the router under 192.168.1.1 but cannot log in :(

Hi,

Are you using a "clean" PC?
I mean without software firewall, antivirus web security, browser history/cookies, etc.
