MR3040 does not connect to Airtel E3272 huawei

I bought a new MR3040 router from Flip-kart.I am trying to get it work with my Airtel 4G (huawei E3272) Dongle
The modem is identified, but cannot connect to internet ( if i use the dongle directly on my laptop it works)
I tried restoring through the system tools options ,but that dint help either
