I received my TL-WA854RE today and cannot set it up even if I have followed the instructions and they are clear to me.

Via WPS.
I power up and push the two WPS buttons as directed. The RE button flashes for some time and eventually stops. The wireless indicator is flashing and power is constant.

Via browser.
I can connect to TL-WA854Re from my computer. The set up software launches correctly. When I get to the part where my computer scans for networks, it gives me a long list but this does not include TP-LINK_XXX or anything similar.

I have tried both methods multiple times and reset the device.

Please advise.

You should be able to detect a TP-LINK Wi-Fi in default settings.
Try to reset the unit, check status of Wireless light and try again.
If the same, get another wireless device like phone or tablet and try it.
