Hi,

I have an Archer AX53 running in AP mode with this pre-release version of the firmware: 1.4.1.

Everything I am using works well, MESH, all of my wifi clients work prefectly connecting to the internet via the AP or my extender and I could connect to it via the Tether App from anywhere.  One anomaly was it didn't report my OPNSense firewall as being a wired connection though it showed the wired port in use.

However about 3 days ago the router now reports it can't connect to the internet, all other clients can, and I can no longer connect via the Tether app except when on my loca network.

Also at this time I see the router trying to connect to these addresses avery 2 seconds:

n-devs-gw.tplinkcloud.com 11523
n-deventry-gw.tplinkcloud.com 6916

Hello  @Kevin_Z : when can we expect a final release for Archer AX53/AX58 V1. Do you also intend to work with open source implementations for the firmware ?

Thanks !

@Yolo2049 You should now be able to detect the new official version 1.4.2/1.4.3.

I will update my thread, as this version is being gradually released.

@ModeratelyAnnoy Could you please provide the detailed network layout? How many AX53 are in the network?

1 AX53

1 RE330

These are MESH'ed together with the AX53 as the primary

They are all wired connections

Internet -> OPNSense Router/Firewall -> tplink HUB LS108G -> AX53 in AP mode.

All the clients connect to the internet and each other fine.

I can ping the IP of the AX53 from other clients.

I can resolve the names above from other clients.

The AX53 can ping itself and the RE330 but nothing else.

I've re-installed the firmware.

Thank you for clarifying :

 I'm not sure I fully understand: does the Archer AX58 V2 already support EasyMesh in AP mode with an Ethernet backhaul in its latest firmware version? (Unlike the V1, which only has these features in the pre-release firmware)?

Thank you for your feedback

  @davidperrin1

Hi,

Generally, only the routers and hardware versions listed here https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/697572 support EasyMesh in AP mode.

Although, the Archer AX58 V1 is somehow missing in that list. Perhaps @Kevin_Z can add it.

So, does this mean that the AX58 V2 does not support EasyMesh in AP mode with an Ethernet backhaul, not even in a pre-release firmware version?

I am surprised, as generally, new versions of the same model bring improvements. Why, in this case, does the V2 not have these features that the V1 will soon have in its next firmware version?
