Wireless not working

Hello, I have a tp-link TDW8968 modem, and just suddenly my Wi-Fi LED wont light up. When I log into my modem, my wireless status is disabled. I go to enable it and go back to my home page and just keeps saying disabled. I have called tplink and was talking to a lady and she was just saying rest it the modem and press and hold the Wi-Fi button at the back for 1sec-3sec and stuff like that and nothing worked. she's gave me a case number and said take it back to where I got the product and replace it. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas why this has happed ?
