TL-MR3020 Keeps Disconnecting with Airtel 4G DataCard (HUAWEI Model E3272s-927)
Region : Argentina
Model : TL-MR3220
Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I had recently purchased an Airtel 4G DataCard (HUAWEI Model E3272s-927, Hardware Version: CH2E3272SM, Software Version: 23.009.15.12.284, Firmware Version: 21.436.33.00.284). I then bought the MR3020 and had it setup as per the instructions in the User Guide. The setup went fine and light on the modem (DataCard) became a steady cyan which indicates that the device is connected to the network this was confirmed by the status page of the MR3020 router but after 2-3 minutes the steady cyan light changed to blinking cyan and the router status page showed modem unplugged.
In my effort to isolate and debug the issue I found that the same router with very fine with the same usb datacard when I inserted a 3G SIM. Please note that the 4G connection worked very well on my laptop. The frequent disconnection problem occurs only of the following combination i.e. MR3020 + Airtel HUAWEI Modem Model E3272s-927 + 4G SIM
Airtel HUAWEI Modem Model E3272s-927 + 4G SIM works fine on my Windows 7 laptop, no connection drops, this was tested over 3-4 hrs. period
MR3020 + Airtel HUAWEI Modem Model E3272s-927 + 3G SIM works fine, no connection drops, tested over a period of 24 hours.
