Model: Archer AX23
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Archer AX23(EU)_V1.20_1.1.0 Build 20230725

I bought recently AX23 (EU) 1.20, I use it as satellite mode and connect it to my Vx1800v usign EasyMesh. The connectivity is ok as you can see from the following screenshot from my Vx1800V WebUI.

My First conern that I can't check or update my Sattelite device as it is nothing shown under Firmware page

Second concern, from Tether APP the Icon for my AX23 is generic as it is not shown it as AX23 Wireless router as you can see while my another Satellite device RE305 V4 it shown correctly:

3rd concern, As you know from Tether app, any device connected to my Vx1800v I can see the Up/Down rate which is live so I can know which device is downloading or uploading. If the device moved to another location and switched to my Satellite device AX23, the Up/Down rate still 0 Byte so it will b dummy to me who is consuming the bandwidh and as you know AX23 support this feature if it is the Main router.

Last bug, From Tether App any device connected to AX23 it shown is using 5GHZ band while the devices can be connected to 2.4GHZ band as my Kitchen TV:

Fridge is connected to 2.4GHZ as shown from WebUI while from Tether App you can see it connected 5GHZ which is not correct.

And you can see that the Upload/download is 0kbps all the time if the devices connected to it.

Finally, as you know we can't manage the satellite device from Web or Tether, we hope to add this feature as it will be helpfull.

Hi@Reda_Otrosh,

For the problem of device rate being 0, it may be that the device is in sleep mode and has no traffic. Please use different devices to connect to the satellite router and use the client device normally to check whether the rate is displayed normally?

At the same time, please help us collect screenshots of app logs and device logs, as well as related error prompts and contents.
Please support.forum@tp-link.com, attaching Forum ID 761658 and details, and we will have a dedicated person to assist in analysis and follow-up.

  @Joseph-TP

Thanks a lot for your response.

About 0 kbps rate. I have tested with serveral clients but the same issue as the following example:

1. My phone connected to the Main VDSL router (Vx1800V) and make download for 1 GB file, I can see at tether app that my phone is consuming the bandwidth normally.

If I move to other room where my Satellite device (AX23), my phone switch to it during the download progress and it shown over Tether APP that my phone connected to AX23 but the download values will be always 0kbps while my device is still downloading. So my device is not on sleep mode.

I will follow your suggestions and send the requested logs. But I can't upload AX23 logs since it is connected as Satellite device and we don't have access to management as the following:

Thanks.

  @Joseph-TP

Updates:

I have reset my AX23 today and I see that the existing firmware was "Archer AX23(EU)_V1.20_1.1.0 Build 20240509_NL", so I have tried to reinstall the Firmware "Archer AX23(EU)_V1.20_1.1.0 Build 20230725" I coudln't so I use the recovery method 2 to reinstall the firmware. Then I have connect the AX23 EasyMesh to main router so one of the issue fixed is the firmware now is shown correctly from tether APP or Web management of the main as the following:

So the latest Firmware "Archer AX23(EU)_V1.20_1.1.0 Build 20240509_NL" is buggy or it must not b shown under this device page.

Another points still exist like AX23 icon, 2.4GHZ devices connected to AX23 (shown as 5GHZ by Tether APP) and Download/upload rates.

It looks like the EasyMesh setup is working well for you, but are you experiencing any missing features CapCut Pro APK or settings in the AX23 WebUI? Sometimes certain options don’t appear when running in satellite mode.

It could be normal that we can't manage satellite device and hope to add this feature but at least the Icon of the device must shown correctly, as VX1800V and AX23 support live upload and download rate so in EasyMesh setup any device connect to them must display the bandwidth rate on main or satellite device not only to main.

Hi @Reda_Otrosh,

TP-Link has started gradually supporting this feature on some EasyMesh router models.
For the supported models, you can refer to this guide for instructions on how to log in:
1. Connect your device to the satellite router (wired or wirelessly).
2. Open a web browser and enter the satellite router's IP address in the address bar to access its web management page. To find the satellite router's IP address:
    a. Use the main router's web management interface: Go to Advanced > EasyMesh to locate the IP address.
    b. Use the Tether App: Log in to the main router, go to More > EasyMesh > Tap the Satellite router's icon to find its IP address.
3. Create a new login username and password for the satellite router and log in.
For a detailed guide on accessing the EasyMesh satellite router's web interface, refer to this FAQ: How to log in to the Web Interface of an EasyMesh Satellite Router
However, if you encounter the message "Rejected request under RE mode" when attempting to log in to the web interface of your EasyMesh satellite router, it means that your router does not currently support this functionality. Please keep an eye out for firmware updates that may enable this feature in the future.

Thanks for these information. We will wait for this important feature to be availble to my router AX23.

And hope we can get beta firmware that will handle the other issues.
