Putting several Extenders in series
Hey guys,
I'd like to follow up on thread 221054, where way back in 2020 a user wanted to put his range extenders in series. Back then it was said that this will lead to an unstable connection.
However, my question is: Is this still correct when using the newer Archer series of routers (NX200, 5G enabled SIM) with their fitting extenders like the Air E5?
Our groundplan is fairly narrow and long, and unfortunately we have the best reception on the south side of the building (living room). Placing the 5G router here puts him very far away from the bedroom, giving me at best -65dB. (In the living room it's around -50dB). I'm not sure if a single E5 will be enough to cover the distance, so I was thinking about placing two E5s in series. Or even two RE550s, to cut down on the cost. After all, at 110€ each, two E5s would pretty much break even with a farily long high quality ethernet cable - and its accompanying installation effort.
I'm really hoping that tech advanced enough to enable this, please let me know your thoughts!
Best regards,
John
