8960 wireless mode problem
Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TD-W8960N
Hardware Version : V4
Firmware Version : 1.1.1 Build 120609 Rel.73156
ISP :
When using the 'bgn' or 'n only' mode the downstream is slow, around 6.5 - 8Mbps. Through ethernet or 'bg' wireless mode its 'normal' at around 19 - 22Mbps. I'd like to take advantage of the n mode over a home network so any help or recommendations/settings would be greatly appreciated.
Downstream Upstream
Line Coding(Trellis): On On
SNR Margin (0.1 dB): 80 138
Attenuation (0.1 dB): 120 21
Output Power (0.1 dBm): 0 101
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 21216 1028
Downstream Upstream
Rate (Kbps): 22263 1020
*With bgn or n only selected the control sideband is greyed out and set as lower. Everything is set at default or as required by my ISP with the exception of MAC address which is set as allow. The old router works fine in N mode. Pic1 shows N mode speed, pic 2 BG mode speed
