TL-WA1201: No VLAN on LAN-Interface without VLAN-WiFi possible?

I use both Access-Points (AP) TLWA1201 and TL WA1801. Both AP are in multi-SSID mode and connected via LAN to a managed switch. I want to set the LAN connection of the AP to VLAN10.
TLWA1801: No problems.
TLWA1201: I can only get to the management interface if I activate one of the AP-WiFi with VLAN10-Tag. If I delete the VLAN10 WiFI on the AP, I can no longer access the management interface via LAN. However, Internet and WiFi works still fine. I can only get back to the management interface with a Reset of the Device.
With TLWA1801 I can still get to the administration interface with the same configuration via LAN.
Is there a solution or a newer firmware for that problem?

I found a solution: While LAN Management-Access works with TAG 10 set in the managed switch for the TL-WA1801 (as described above), the TL-WA1201 must be set to untagged in the managed switch.

Hi @Marc1473,
May I know what is the model of your switch? Is it also a TP-Link device? If it is convenient for you, please swap the switch ports that the TLWA1201 and TLWA1801 are connected to. This can be used as an effective test method to verify whether the problem is related to the switch port configuration.
Reserve at least one SSID in TL-WA1201 and mark it as VLAN10 (even if it is not used temporarily). Access the management interface through this SSID or LAN port (the switch port must allow VLAN10)
Confirm that the VLAN settings of the switch port are exactly the same as those of the AP to avoid PVID or Trunk configuration errors. So please check the settings of the switch port carefully.

Hi @Joseph-TP,
Thank you for your help. My managed switch is a Zyxel GS1900-16 (Managed LAN of AP is VLAN10, Port of TL-WA1201 has PVID 10, Accept Type "Tagged & Untagged", and VLAN 10 is tagged). TLWA1801-Port has exact the same configuration. So switching the Ports does not help.

Of course this works. But this is also my Problem and Question: I don't want to "give away" a WLAN-SSID for management-purpose. And also because of security I don't want to send the management Entrance over the air. I want to manage the AP only via LAN. With TLWA1801 this is not a problem.
