Model: Deco X50   Deco X10
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello, I have a big problem with my decos, I recenlty added a new x50 Deco v1 on my setup and after that, my 2 other x10 Decos keep disconnecting.

So my new Deco setup is this:

2nd Floor: 1 Main Deco X50 V1.2, firmware 1.4.5, in Router mode, 1 satellite X10 Deco firmware 1.1.7 via Wifi

1st Floor: 1 satellite Deco X50 V1, firmware 1.6.1, Connected to main via Ethernet

Ground Floor: 2 satellite Deco X10, firmware 1.1.7, on 2 Different rooms both connected via Wifi.

My previous working setup was:

2nd Floor: 1 Main Deco X50 V1.2 in Router mode,

1st Floor: 1 satellite Deco X10 Connected to main via Ethernet

Ground Floor: 2 satellite Deco X10 on 2 Different rooms both connected via Wifi.

So the change is the the addition of an X50 on 1st Floor via Ethernet and the relocation of 1 X10 to the 2nd Floor via Wifi.

Since I added the X50 on 1st floor and relocated the X10, the Ground floor Decos wont connect, normally those 2 x10s were connecting to 1st Floor Deco and everything was smooth but now are refusing to connect on the new X50, their led is blinking red and after some seconds they blink green for once and then red blinking again.

I have tried to bring them near the main deco, remove all the decos from my app one by one and add them again, they work when they are close to main but then they wont work when I put them on their place.

The problem seems to be that the 2 x10 decos on ground floor cannot connect to the new x50 on 1st Floor but i really cant understand why, I have tried to bring them close to main deco from the deco app and force them to connect to first floor x50 but they lose connection when i do that and they do the blinking red and once green i described above, they want to connect to Main deco to work but my main deco is 2 floors above and its not normal, thats why i bought decos, to cover a large area.

Sorry for the long post but I really need your help!

Thank you.

@yves_b Its my own post, well I tried removing all decos from the app and reconnecting 1 by 1 only 3 decos one for each floor, 2nd floor main Deco x50 V1.2, 1st floor x50 V1 via ethernet, then I set up a 3rd x10 deco for ground floor near main deco via wifi, then tried to place it at the ground floor but again it doesnt connect when its at its place.

This makes me realize the problem is that every x10 of my decos wont connect to x50 V1 on first floor, my big question is why??? What can i do? The first floor x50 v1 deco is fully functioal and all x10 decos are functional too when they connect to other decos.

I really dont understand why this happens, decos supposed to connect to each other and that why i have bought 5 of them!

Also I cannot upgrade the x50 v1 via web page, when im trying to load the latest beta it says that Upgrade failed. Please select the latest version of firmware to upgrade.

It has 1.6.1 version and im trying to upgrade it to 1.6.4. Maybe the problem is that as far as i know if you have 2 same models its trying to update both of them simultaneously but deco x50 v1 and deco x50 v1.2 doesnt get the same firmware and i have them both.

All this is a nightmare and i think i just threw my money.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

For Deco X50 V1 and V1.2, their firmware are not identical.  It is suggested to log into the web UI of Deco X50 V1 and update firmware from 1.6.1 to 1.6.4_beta following Method2 in the guide.

Then, you may try to choose signal source for 2 satellite Deco X10 on the ground floor again.

After finishing the steps and observation, if the drop connection issue still remains on Deco X10, please share the screenshots of Network Map on Deco app.

Best regards.
