Model: Archer BE800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20250108 rel 48985

Does the BE800 formally support LACP in Access Point mode?

I note there are options in the BE800 WR to configure pairs of LACP ports but not in the BE800 AP.  However it seems to work but not consistently.

I have the following wired test configuration.

Device I/F Router I/F

Access

Point

I/F Device
Laptop PC 2.5G BE800WR 10G BE800AP 2x1G QNAP NAS
Fibre 1G 10G       2.5G Desktop PC

To baseline - Copying a large 50GB compressed video file Laptop PC to Desktop PC  either direction  on either or both  the  BE800 using 2.5G ports  I consistently see 285GBs copy speeds reported by windows  which seems about right.

However copying the same 50GB file from the QNAP NAS  to the Desktop PC will sometimes run around  226 GB's (expected)  and other times 150GB's.

The Laptop seems to always copy from the QNAP at 150GB's

Disconnecting either 1G connection on the QNAP will consistently copy at 113 GBs

There is no other meaningful activity on any device during the test.

I plan to run more tests including WiFi7  but if LACP isnt currently supported in AP mode - little point.

You can skip the reset rpocedure. Switch to wireless router mode or reset the device.

Configure the Link Aggregation feature (LAG). Switch back to AP mode.

You should keep in mind that the implemented aggregation is not an LACP, but just a static link aggregation.

While some features are configurable only in wireless router mode, once configured they will ratain in AP mode - details.
