Model: Archer BE550
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20241230 rel.20267(4555)

Dear TP-Link Support Team,

I am experiencing a recurring issue with my TP-Link BE550 v1 router, and I would like to bring it to your attention for further investigation and assistance.

Issue Description:
After a few days of normal operation, the wireless internet speed on my router drops to 100 Mbps, even though my internet connection is capable of 1 Gbps. This issue persists until I reset the router to factory settings and reconfigure it from scratch. Simply changing Wi-Fi settings, such as adjusting the Wi-Fi channel or other configurations, does not resolve the problem.

Current Setup:
- Router Model: TP-Link BE550 v1
- Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20241230 rel.20267(4555)
- Active Networks: 5 GHz, 6 GHz, and MLO networks are all enabled and in use.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
1. Wi-Fi Settings Adjustment: I have tried changing the Wi-Fi channels and other related settings, but the issue remains unresolved.
2. Router Reset: The only temporary solution I have found is to reset the router to factory settings and reconfigure it, which restores the speed to 1 Gbps. However, the problem reoccurs after a few days.

Request for Assistance:
I kindly request your support in diagnosing and resolving this issue. It is quite frustrating to have to reset the router every few days to maintain the expected internet speed. Please let me know if there are any firmware updates, configuration changes, or other steps I can take to address this problem.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and any potential solutions you may offer.

LIVE UPDATE:

After updating 2025 beta software, my all WiFi devices (Windows PC, iPhone, Android tablet, Apple TV; TCL TV etc) drops wireless speed 1 Gbps to 100-200 Mbps. Otherwise, I use Intel BE200 WiFi 7 card (MLO enabled).

In the other error, could the router be thinking it's a mesh device?

Yo, I'm not a TP-Link moderator, but I would check the following: Is the main modem capable of Gigabit speed? Is the Ethernet cable that connects the main modem and router at least a CAT5e Ethernet Cable (CAT5 can only handle 100 Mbps)? Do you have ECO Mode turned off? Do you have Transmit Power set to High? Do you have the router updated to the latest firmware?

Hello, BE550 is not Mesh device, its main device, I have not any mesh setup. But tplink interface showns wrongly.

Then, ECO mode is off, I am using ONT and CAT7 ethernet is connected between ONT and BE550, no problem.

You can disable OneMesh / EasyMesh by going to Advanced and then EasyMesh or OneMesh. There you push the toggle off. Also, I would enable Smart Connect, except if you really need a separate WiFi for each band, as Smart Connect joins all of them. From here on out, I would contact an admin :)
