Hi,

I have an Re220 extender. I have connect an Ethernet cable into it and the other end into a Sky Stream Puck, however I am unable to detect the Ethernet connection.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi @Shids,

As terziyski said, please confirm whether you want to extend the router network to RE220 wirelessly or wired to confirm the appropriate working mode. The former uses the default range extender mode, and the latter uses the Access point mode.
If the TV obtains the network through the Ethernet cable, then RE220 can only use the range extender mode. If the TV has no network, please change a different Ethernet cable.

If you want your RE220 to be wired to your router, you have to change its working mode to AP. - details.

Hi, It's not to be wired to my router. The extender is on a different floor from the router, I am looking to connect the extender to a TV box

OK, I didn't get that.

So you just have to connect the TV box to the RE220. Its ethernet port should work for wired connections out of the box.

If TV box don't get any ethernet connection try with another ethernet cable or another device to pinpoint the issue.

When setting up the extender do I have to do anything to allow ethernet access?

Hi  @Shids,

If you set the RE220 to default mode(range extender), you can directly connect a PC to the RE220's Ethernet port to get internet.
