AC750 - Range Extender 300mbps claim

I have 3 AC750 range extenders connected via Ethernet to my Archer AX73 as access points.
The speed I get on a PC when connected to the Ethernet cable that terminates into the AC750 is 280mbps up & 285mbps down. This is also the typical speed that I get when connected to the AX73.
However, when I connect the Ethernet cable to the AC750, the speed over WiFi reduces to around 80mbps. All 3 units perform like this whether on 2.4ghz or 5ghz.
The specifications state that this range extender is capable of 300mbps - am I missing something or is the informational wrong?
is there a way to fix this so that the AP's produce a speed closer to that of the WiFi speed of the AX73?

300 mbps is on its wireless interface.
On the ethernet port both RE200 and RE220 are only 100 mbps capable - hence the bottleneck and that is why you get only around 80 mbps.
That is when you use the REs iin AP mode. If you use them as REs you'll probably get aroung 150 mbps - that's is because wireless connection is a half-duplex.

What's your RE model - this should be printed on the device bottom sticker.
Check its ethernet port specification on the support portal.
If it's a 100mbps port then that's the reason you're getting only 80 mbps bandwidth.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Unfortunately the sticker doesn't have this information.
I have 2 RE200's & 1 RE220
The spec's on their website state 300mbps for these models.
