Just tested, switching from 1.1.6 to 1.2.1, didn't change any wifi settings

1.1.6 WIFI 6E on macbook pro M4 downloed 1350Mbps up 950Mbps

1.2.1 WIFI 6E on macbook pro M4 downloed 1150Mbps up 700Mbps

latency 6ms in both case.

Iphone drop 50Mbps on WIFI6 5ghz also ... 520Mbps down / 420Mbps up instead of previous 590Mbps down / 490Mbps up

This nothing to do with ISP/performance both difference I can see either with iperf3 over lan (2.5Gb LAN iperf3 server) and over Internet (ISP is fiber 8Gbps)

Has anyone experience such drop on 6E and 6 5Ghz?

Thank for the update. It works fine for me.
The reboot option for satellite is a good idea, but not supported by Re800be, which share the same form factor ( an hardware ?) with BE 800. This extender hadn't have any update yet, is it on the way?

@Onyx2024

I believe the RE800BE may also synchronize this optimization in future updates. However, I can't confirm that at this moment. We will reach out to the relevant team for clarification and provide updates here in the community.

bonus question: is it a way to show the hour on the LCD front panel of the BE800?

Does this mean the time display on the LED screenshot on the satellite BE800? I believe this is supported on the main BE800 already. Or, do you mean display the router runtime? If these are not what you're asking, could you please clarify that?

The 1.2.1 pre release seems to be running smoothly and performantly, but purely cosmetically (see image below), the "CAMFlur" is displayed incorrectly by the connection, because it is connected via cable to the WLAN satellite (RE6000XD in the mesh) on LAN1.

(Archer BE800 in App/DHCP-Client-Mode, DHCP-Server=AVM Fritz!Box 6660 cable)

@pctelco

Is the network connected as follows?

AVM Fritz!Box 6660 cable (LAN) --- (WAN) Archer BE800 (in AP Mode) ))) ((( RE6000XD

--- stands for Ethernet cable connection

))) ((( stands for wireless connection

Is this "CAMFlur" displayed correctly before this update when the BE800 works maybe in Router mode?

Yes, yes, yes. ;-)

I cannot say whether the CAM display is correctly shown as a LAN client on the RE6000XD when the BE800 is running in router mode, as I would blow up my LAN with the BE800 in router mode and then the routing would no longer work properly. In any case, the display for the CAM was in the same position with version 1.1.99 for the BE800 and was shown as LAN.

@benoitm974 Are there any changes or updates for the MacBook Pro M4?

You may test with different servers and check speeds at various times to see if there's a difference.

BTW, does the link speed on MacBook Pro M4 or iPhone change after the firmware update?

We may wait and see if anyone else encounters a similar issue.

Hi,

Yep lots of drops here, I changed my name of 2,4Ghz and hide it, so no SmartConnect. Have to keep 2.4 running, cause I need it, else IoT Wifi 2.4 is not there :-/
So will test now further on.

Maybe it was somewhere written, but can't downgrade firmware anymore, upload error.

Why do you put that in test firmware ?

Indeed on the macbook link speed was steady 1440 and now 1297 sometimes switching to 1440 for 2 to 3 secs and back to 1297. The macbook was not move between previous and new firmware either. As mentioned I use internal lan iperf3 so changing server should not have impact this is the same lan machine I use. But I also test to the Internet 2 different servers same difference for me. time of the day don't have an impact either.

Be interesting to see if other people see this differences indeed.

@Kevin_Z I don't find an option when I manage the Satelitte BE800 to disable smart dhcp. That option doesn't exist.

So the fact that the dhcp renewal happens every minute still exist.

The LED Screen is still not synchronizing the shown symbols with what is configured on the main router.

And it is also not available as an option to set individual symbols on the satellite BE800.

It would be good if the LED Screen Option is in future also available on the satellite BE800 Manage Screens or at least synchronize the symbols with what is shown on the main Router.

Beside of that I don't see any new issues so far. Will check further the next days.

@mizwdev It said after upgrading to 1.2, you could not downgrade back to 1.1, so that's on you for not reading more carefully.
