Hi, please bare with me explaining this. My networking knowledge is very limited, as I have come to understand!

My setup is as follows:

Virgin gigabit internet, Virgin router in Modem mode, with AX20 connected directly to it with ethernet cable.

Ethernet cable then sent from AX20 upstairs to BE230 which the Tether app tells me is in Access Point Mode.

AX20 has my downstairs PC plugged in via ethernet.

BE230 has my upstairs PC plugged in via ethernet.

AX20 and BE230 have different WiFi names, I`m unsure if this is relevant.

WOL works when i use the app on my Android phone to wake up/power on my downstairs PC. WOL will not work on my upstairs PC. To troubleshoot, I unplugged the ethernet going from the AX20 to the BE230 and plugged it directly in to my upstairs PC bypassing the BE230. WOL worked instantly.

I have tried researching how to remedy this and have read so many confusing articles about how to make this work, to do with Subnet Directed Broadcasts, WDS, port forwarding and others.

Is there a simple way to resolve this to make WOL work on upstairs PC while it is plugged in to the BE230? And if so could I be guided with relevant instructions - so many guides I have found show either outdated screenshots or instructions to options on the admin page that are simply non existent.

Hope i`ve explained this well enough. Please help!!! Thank you

Hi,

How is the Android phone that you use to wake up your PC connected to your network? Via the Wi-Fi of the AX20?
