Model: Archer BE805
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Archer BE805(JP)_V1_1.1.0 Build 20241025

Hello.

I'm operating six routers of the this model.

In three units of six, 2.4G/5GHz Wi-Fi function stops after a while.

The time to stop is random, ranging from a few hours to several days after startup.

However, the 6 GHz band has not stopped and is operating stably.

* If the 2.4G/5G WiFi function stops, it will be restored as soon as the power is turned back on.

* This symptom occurs in both RT mode and AP mode.

* It appears to be occurring on routers with the latest firmware applied.

(WiFi did not stop on three Routers with firmware version [Archer BE805(JP)_V1_1.0.11 Build 20240318])

* No mesh Wi-Fi is used, all are stand-alone operations

Does anyone else have the same symptoms?

Yes. Exact same thing happens to my router. Single device in router mode - no mesh - wired side continues to function normally. Everything normally for 2-4 days after a reboot before the WiFi SSID disappears and a reboot is needed. No solution yet from TP-Link support, other than an offer to replace the router under warranty.

Hi, welcome to our community.

May I confirm some information to understand your situation better?

1. Are all your Archer BE805 work under the same network?  What is your exact network topology?

2. How does 2.4GHz/5GHz wifi function stopped working? Disappear from all your client devices? Or the wifi is connected but no internet?

3.Did you set the same or different wifi names for 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi bands?

You may downgrade the 3 routers to the previous firmware version as a workaround.

It is also suggested to contact local technical support for direct help.

Thank you and best regards.

Hi,thank you for reply.

1.  WAN side network 2 Units belong to the same WAN network. The remaining 3 Units belong to different networks.
This symptoms occurs regardless of the WAN-side network.

2.  Clients connected to 2.4/5GHz networks are force disconnected, and WiFi signals (ESSID) are not working except at 6GHz when checked by the WiFi Analyzer application.

3.  In all cases, 2.4/5GHz WiFi stops after a certain period of time.
* 2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz all have the same name.
* 5GHz/6GHz are the same name, but 2.4GHz is different.
* 2.4GHz/ 5GHz/6GHz are all different name.

4.  About firmware
The official TP-Link firmware distribution site states that BE805(JP)_V1_1.1.0 Build 20241025 is a major version upgrade, Downgrading is not possible.

Re:2.4G/5GHz Wi-Fi function stops after a while on Archer BE805(BE19000)
Wednesday

@odp_odp I'm having the same issue. My wifi keep dropping every 1 or 2 days, even after I restarted the router the day before. All my networks are affected, for my main, guest and IoT networks. the light indicator still showing blue.

mine is only using 1 router that connected to ISP modem. Also, already using the latest Firmware.

very frustrating to keep getting issues with this router, any chance to get refunded for the issues?

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Can you share more details about your current issue?

For example, when the WiFi drops, can you still see wifi signal on all your wireless devices?

Does it happen on all wireless band, including 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz?

Does the wired connection keep stable?

Please feel free to share more if you think it is necessary.

Best regards.

  @Marvin_S

the wifi ssid seems to be appearing, but unable to connect. None of my devices that use wireless is able to connect to the SSIDs.

all other connection that use wired are unaffected and still able to connect to the internet.

Hi, thanks for your prompt respond.

May I confirm how many wireless devices you have?

Did you set same wifi name(SSID) for 2.4GHz&5GHz&6GHz bands?

When the wireless connection drops, do you have to restart the route for reconnection?

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

1. Please ensure the router is away from wireless interference sources. Keep the router away from microwave ovens and other interference sources (refrigerators, ovens, Bluetooth devices, etc.)

2. Please turn off Smart Connect, set different wifi names for 2.4GHz and 5GHz band. Then change 2.4ghz channel(1/6/11) and channel width(20Mhz). Change 5ghz channel(band 1/4) and channel width(40Mhz).

3. Please try to change DNS into 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 referring to the guide.

Best regards.

  @Marvin_S

20-30 wireless devices at a time and no intereference.

my 2.4&5GHz networks are the same SAID. Only the 6GHz different SSID.

My DNS already pointing to external.

This always be my config for having2.4&5GHz with the same SSID name, I never had to change the channel widths for my AX73.

Can you suggest any other solutions?
