Model: Archer AXE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.2 Build 20240827 rel.68051(4555)

I've not long had the AEX75 router and I've been experimenting to get the fastest Wi-Fi speeds to my gaming PC.  I can get almost my full internet speed using Wifi 6 on the 5 GHZ channels but when trying Wifi 6E on 6GHZ I've noticed the speed is a lot less despite the signal strength being the same on both frequencies.  Even stranger is that initially when connecting on wifi 6E I get almost the full link speed (over 2000 Mbps) but as soon as I start using it the link speed halves almost like ite interfering with itself.  I'd prefer to use 6GHZ if possible because thats clear in terms of signals from elsewhere so how can I get it working properly?

Hi, welcome to our community.

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

1. Check Device Compatibility:
Verify that your gaming PC's Wi-Fi adapter fully supports Wi-Fi 6E. Some adapters may have limitations that affect performance.
2. Adjust Channel Settings:
Manually select a channel for the 6 GHz band. Sometimes, automatic channel selection can lead to interference or suboptimal performance. Use a Wi-Fi analyzer tool to identify the least congested channel.
3. Optimize Router Placement:
Ensure that the router is positioned in a central location away from obstructions. 6 GHz signals have a shorter range and are more affected by barriers.
4. Limit Network Load:
Disconnect other devices on the network that may be consuming bandwidth. This will help you identify if the performance issue is due to network congestion.
5. Quality of Service (QoS):
Enable QoS settings on your router to prioritize gaming traffic. This can help improve performance for your gaming PC.
6. Reduce Interference:
Make sure there are no other electronic devices (like microwaves or cordless phones) that could be causing interference, especially near the router.
7. Check for Background Processes:
On your gaming PC, check for any applications or processes that might be using a lot of bandwidth in the background.
8. Test with Different Devices:
If possible, test the 6 GHz connection with another device that supports Wi-Fi 6E to see if the issue persists.

If the suggestions above can not help you resolve the problem, we recommend contacting our local technical support for further investigation.

Thank you and best regards.

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, I've tried all of that but to give some more detail my PC has a TXE75e WiFi adaptor so I'd expect good compatibility.  I can also get my full internet download speed on 5 GHZ channels but the 6E channels are always slower despite there not being any competing signals.

It's the same story on my Galaxy S23 phone.  There is no distance at which 6E is not slower than WiFi 6 - even standing immediately next to the router and again I can get full speed on WiFi 6.
