Dear TP-Link Team,

I recently upgraded to the Archer AX73, transitioning from the ER605. While I’m pleased with the performance, I noticed the absence of an option to automatically send logs to a Syslog server. Currently, the router only supports local log storage or email delivery, which is suboptimal for several reasons:

  1. The email-based log processing is inefficient and hard to automate. It requires additional hardware, services, and processes, to extract and forward logs to a destined Syslog server.
  2. Email delivery introduces unnecessary delays in log analysis. Depending on the configured frequency (min once per hour), critical events may not be identified or acted upon in real-time, which is crucial for timely troubleshooting and security incident responses.
  3. Syslog integration is essential for long-term log storage, security audits, and automation in secured networks.

The ER605 includes a Syslog delivery option, and I kindly request TP-Link dev team to incorporate this feature into the Archer AX73 firmware. It would significantly enhance the router’s utility for users who rely on centralized log management systems.

Thank you for considering this request. I’m confident this addition would be appreciated by many of your users with similar requirements as me.
