Bad and jerky picture on tv

Recently the picture on my TV is jerky and stop and start. My router is downstairs on the window sill in the same room as tv. Would the signal improve if I move the unit upstairs or can the unit itself be adjusted

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

1. Adjust the location of the router. You may move it closer to your TV.

2. Adjust channel and channel width of the router for a try.

2. Enable Guest network on the router and connect your TV to the guest network for a try.
