It seems that the Link Speed on the desktop is in 10/100/1000Mbps Full Duplex mode, and that would be the reason why it works fine with the BE550's 2.5Gbps port.
As analyzed by the development team, the 2.5Gbps may only have an issue with identifying a 10/100Mbps half duplex connection.
It's suggested to install the beta firmware we provided in my previous response to check if the Linksys PAP2T will work properly.

This afternoon i'll try it. Firts, i'll try with laptop modifying network interface settings to 10/100 half duplex. I'll upload images. After that i'll install new beta firmware.

If i connect laptop with 100MBps Half duplex
After install Beta firmware
Now Linksys PAP2T is viewed by BE550.
