Hi,

we have to use an internal DNS here. It is part of the network of the Deco Mesh and directly connected via LAN to the 1st Deco. This works perfectly for the normal networks. Now comes the problem: Also the guest network gets this DNS, which is fine. But guests in guest networks by definition can not reach any internal IPs, besides the default GW (called Client-Isolation or AP-Isolation). So the DNS is unreachable and thus the Guest-Network is not working.

Is there any solution to that? Like I said, the internal DNS in unavoidable!

Cheers,

Hi, welcome to our community.

A Guest network allows visitors in your home to use the internet without needing to connect to your private network. Wireless devices connected to a Guest network have no access to resources shared on the Main network so the security and privacy of the Main network are guaranteed.

You may refer to this guide to know more: How to set up a Guest Network for Deco

Thank you and best regards.
