TP-LINK TL-MR6400 does not give internet access to PC and google TV, to phones and tablets it does
Hi All,
I had a TL-MR6400 v5 that was working so beautifully since the beginning, that I then bought another one identical after it, that is a v7.0, for another location.
I use them both in 3G/4G router mode, both are provided with a SIM card from the Italian operator TIM.
The v7 unit works well with mobile phones, tablets and other devices as wifi lamps etc.
The issue is that the internet access is not given to a couple of PCs that I tried, and on a Google TV device, via wifi. All of them are working perfectly with the v5 one.
Trials I made so far are:
1. Aligning the two routers in terms of settings (actually they had all the same settings) through the Advanced Settings in the TP-Link web interface.
2. Check the firmware was updated (it was).
3. Restore the v7 to the factory settings.
4. Change the Primary/Secondary DNS from 0.0.0.0 to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
5. Test the two units in the same place (to check if it was a network issue).
6. Swap the SIM cards, which it proved the v5 was working well with both SIM cards, and the V7 reproducing the same issue with both cards.
Then I sadly surrendered...
Would you recommend any possible solution for this case?
Thank you in advance
