Help Needed with Clearance Issue on TP-Link Router

Hi,
I'm encountering a clearance issue with my TP-Link Archer C6 router. After a recent firmware update, the old settings don’t seem to have cleared properly, leading to some performance glitches. Can anyone suggest steps to ensure a complete reset or clearance before updating firmware? Thanks!

Hi,
It is standard on TP-Link routers that the settings are retained when performing a firmware update. There is also no option available to have the router reset the settings as part of the firmware update process.
To clear all settings you can either manually select "FACTORY RESTORE" from the GUI or use the physical "Reset" button on the rear of the router.

Could anyone suggest detailed steps to ensure a complete clearance of old firmware settings? Should I perform a factory reset or use a specific tool for this? Also, is there a recommended method to reapply the firmware to avoid such issues? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated!
