Hi all

Looking for some help deciding how to expand my mesh network. I have 3 Deco X60 but it is not sufficient to cover the whole 3 floors brick house with internet. So what to do? buy 3 more X60 to cover house or should I buy other Deco models or ie. Powerline adapters?

Any good advice?

Best

Hi, welcome to the community.

Have you used powerline adapters before?

Since the Powerline Backhaul performance is closely related to the electric wiring system, it would be better to have a new and clear wiring system to use the Powerline Backhaul Deco.

Were there any reserved Ethernet ports around the house?

For multiple floor solutions, a tri-band Deco, such as Deco X90 or Deco XE75(if there are 6Ghz supported devices) would be a better choice.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hi David

Thank you for your reply. I have not used Powerline Adapters before and live in an old house so not sure if the electric wiring system will work.

I dont have any ethernet ports around the house.

Would really like to reuse the X60 that I already purchased. Any recommendations on how best to do that? Would it not be an option to buy 3 more X60 units?

Could I use extenders? or add one X90 / XE75 as the main and then use the X60 to extend the network through the house?

Or is it better with multiple 3-band Deco's as you mention?

I really appreciate your input here.

Best,

BB
