Hi everyone,

I'm a happy owner of a 3 pack Deco P9 Powerline +wifi, I need Powerline in my house, I tried other mesh extender (only wifi) but the device in the garage always lost he signal, finally about one year ago I solved with the P9.

Currently the internet connection is provided by a 4G sim card router connected through LAN to the main P9 device, I want to change the sim card router with a 5G One and I was wondering which one could be the best option for me.

Deco X3000 (is it possible that previously was called X50?) could be set as main device in my network maintaining the Powerline backhaul? If not I was thinking to use the X3000 as a sim router only and deactivate the wifi. Is it possible?

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you for your help

Hi, welcome to our community.

First, it is suggested to refer to this guide to know about some necessary requirements about Powerline Backhaul on Deco.

So if you choose a Deco-5G/4G model as main Deco/router, it will set up Deco mesh network with your current Deco P9, then that will cause conflict with Q2 in the guide above.

Here are the related models for your reference.

Or you may consider other 5G routers like Archer NX200 or Archer NX600 to provide internet for your current Deco P9 network.

Thank you and best regards.
