I have two questions regarding TP-Link routers and Deco Series:

  1. TP-Link Archer Routers as Access Points
Are there any TP-Link Archer router models that can function reliably as Access Points without causing network issues? If so, which specific models support this feature?
  2. Deco Series WAN/LAN Auto-Sensing
Is it correct that the Deco Series employs auto-detection for WAN and LAN ports? If this is the case, can you confirm that it would function properly as a WAN port when connected directly to a modem router?

Your insights on these matters would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance.

@Joe-King Hi, Thank you very much for your time and patience.

The listed models here all support Access Point mode:https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/wifi-router/?filterby=6108

They should work well in AP mode without causing network issues.

For Deco Mesh, Deco indeed uses a WAN/LAN Auto-Sensing mechanism and it would function properly when connected directly to a modem router.

While some feedback related to WAN/LAN Auto-Sensing is not attributed to Deco. If you are worried about this auto-sensing mechanism, it would be better to choose the models that support fixing the WAN port, such as Deco X5_V1/V1.2, Deco X20/X60_V4 and Deco X60_V3/3.2.

Thanks again and best regards.
