Archer C7 5Ghz Problem - REQUIRES FIXING ASAP

Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : Archer C7
Hardware Version : Not Clear
Firmware Version : 3.13.33 Build 130729 Rel.56122n
ISP : Plusnet UK
Dear TP Link / Forum users,
As reported here numerous times the Archer C7 has issues with the 5Ghz band and Apple devices (Sometimes my Galaxy S3 too). 2.4Ghz appears to operate fine.
I have tried numerous times to connect my iPad / Macbook Pro / Macbook Pro Retina and although I can connect successfully to the WiFi there is an issue with internet connectivity once connected. TKIP seems to work at times but obviously throughput is slower. WPA2-PSK AES does not work.
This requires fixing ASAP as this is a major bug.
P.S. I am currently working around the issue by leaving my 5Ghz band open and using MAC filtering to prevent access.

Here is my story:
I am using the router Archer C7 for a few months now and never had any problems regarding speed and stability.
Two weeks ago I purchased a MacBook Pro Retina to replace my old MacBook Pro. After a few days I recognized that even surfing is very slow - first I had the suspicion of some problems of my ISP, but other devices had normal speed and access.
Next I tested 5 GHz AC Mode with my smartphone (LG G2) and got connection bandwidth of approx. 450 MBits.
With my MacBook Pro for the first seconds I approx get the same bandwidth and then it drops to 7 MBit (if I can trust the informaton from MacOS). I already tried the latest beta firmware - no change...
At the moment I am not really sure, if it is the router or the MacBook Pro - on the other hand - if am using n-mode or 2,4 GHz I have no problems... very strange.
Best regards,
ww

I was sent a brand new beta:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/87935752/ArcherC7v1_en_3_13_34_up_boot(140127).bin
I have not tested it to see whether it fixed the 5GHz issue or not.
Edit:
I have updated to this beta and so far I have not experienced any issues yet. :)

I updated to that beta and I'm still experiencing issues connecting to the 5 GHz Wireless AC on my Late 2013 Retina Macbook. It works fine running it insecure, however I tried WPA and WPA2 with the latest beta and it still cannot connect :\

Hm... I'm not sure then. I haven't experienced any of the issues I was experiencing before. Perhaps it's because I'm not using the AC network? Since I only have a mid-2012 MacBook Pro.

I installed the
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...ot(140127).bin beta an hour ago. Activated WPA2 Personal, AES and disabled UPNP. It seems to work fine for now. No data loss as of yet. This is from a lenovo t400s running win 8 64x, N standard wireless.
Maybe its AC that still dosent work with the 140127 beta firmware?

Disabling uPnP works!
2014-02-02 06:20:30
This was affecting me on my brand new Macbook Pro Retina (AC). Read somewhere to disable uPnP (under Forwarding section in admin menu). It seems to have worked. Still would like to see TP-link fix this in firmware since it's only a workaround. Curious if this solved the problem for others as well?
Cheers

Disregard my last comment, uPnP disable *does not work* for MBP problems

karimzh you have right,
5GHz radio is not working with 802.11ac even if disable uPnP.
My workaround doesn't work with 802.11ac.
But work for me with 802.11an on old macbook.

Did you try with latest firmware 140127?
N standard 5Ghz AES, WPA2 works fine for me with new Bios. Been doing that for days now.
