unstable connection after update

Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.14.3 Build 241025 Rel.69449n(5553)

Router archer C80(US) ver: 2.20

Good morning, since last night I've been experiencing intermittent problems with my internet, and I would like to rule out that it's not due to the firmware update that was done automatically last night.

I've been looking for firmware versions on the tplink website, but it turns out that only EU firmware versions appear, while mine on the label says archer c80(US) ver 2.20, and I'm afraid to update and end up damaging it or being in a worse situation.

The router is working in router mode

I hope you can help me.

Re: unstable connection after update

 Hi@electrounexpo,

There are a few different cases related with unstable connection, including WAN connection unstable and wireless client devices unstable.
For WAN connection unstable (Router Internet LED turns red/orange occasionally):
    1) Connect a PC directly into your modem to verify if your ISP Internet is stable.
    2) Make sure the Ethernet cable between your modem and the Router is connected properly, replaced old cables with new ones.
    3) Change the DNS Server of the Router, login to the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, change the two DNS Servers into 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8.
    4) Go to Advanced > System > Firmware Update to upgrade the firmware of the Router.
For wireless client devices, unstable:
    1) Make sure the Router is properly placed, it should be put in an open area instead of inside a cabinet or shelf.
    2) Login to the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings, change the wireless channel into another one.
    3) For 2.4GHz wireless client devices, adjust 2.4GHz channel width into 20MHz, for 5G wireless client devices, adjust 5GHz channel width into 80MHz or 40MHz to avoid interference.

In addition, the tech team was made aware of your issue, they will likely reach out to you via email to continue to troubleshoot your issue. Please check your email box and confirm.

Re: unstable connection after update
Friday
Good morning, thank you for responding. I tell you that I carried out the first step that they indicated to me, and connected the wired internet directly from the modem to the PC, it was unstable, so in short it is my ISP, I contacted them and this afternoon the internet has returned to normal. IF something happens again I'll let you know, thanks again

It should be added that I contacted technical support from my ISP, and apparently they solved the situation
