Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.6.1 Build 20241010 Rel. 65389

My Deco X50 mesh system firmware was recently upgraded. Since then I have a very strange problem. I have the main X50 connected to another router, which in turn is connected to yet another router that is connected to the ISP. I have some units connected to the ISP-router, like my NAS.

On one of the satellite X50´s I have two wired units. One desktop PC and one PLC. After the upgrade I cannot access any of the wired devices from other WiFi-connected devices. I also cannot connect to the NAS anymore from any of the wired units, but no problem to connect from the WiFi units.

I can access the internet from the wired devices.

I have tested to run the Deco as both Access point (which I had before) and as Router, but no difference.

What can I do?

Hi, welcome to the community.

Is the current network topology like:

It is still suggested to set Deco into "Access Point" mode.

After the upgrade I cannot access any of the wired devices from other WiFi-connected devices.

I also cannot connect to the NAS anymore from any of the wired units, but no problem to connect from the WiFi units.

-Can you consistently reproduce this issue?

-Can you still ping(How to Use the Ping Command) these wired desktop and powerline adapters over WiFi connection?

- How about the wireless clients from the "satellite Deco X50"? can they access the wired desktop and powerline adapters?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hello,

Yes, the topology is more or less like your sketch.

The problem is there all the time.

I cannot ping the wired units from wifi clients, but I can ping and access the NAS and I cannot ping any of the other units from the wired clients.

I have no powerline adapters, only physical network cables and wifi.

To me it seems as if the wired clients are not allowed to access anything else but the internet.

Hi, Thanks for the update.

It seems like the issue lies with the Ethernet connection on the satellite Deco X50.

There should be 2 satellite Deco X50s. Does it make any difference after swapping the location of the two satellite X50s?

By the way, I saw you mentioned earlier that "On one of the satellite X50 I have two wired units. One desktop PC and one PLC".

-I thought the "PLC" was short for powerline adapters. Is it something else?

- Are those two units set to use static IP addresses, or DHCP?

- Can you see those two devices on the "Online Clients" on the Deco APP?

When Deco is in AP mode, many advanced features related to NAT/DHCP are no longer available. I can't figure out something else that might cause the current issue.

Wait for your reply and best regards.
