Hi

I am thinking of buying a AX3000 system with several X50 and X55

i think I would like to hardwire where possible to improve signal.
i also want to use router mode.
I also want to avoid using a switch.
So the scheme would be

- internet enters house via modem and goes to main deco

- I then use one of the 3 Ethernet ports in each deco unit to link to another deco unit.
- and so on, using daisy wiring and not a hub / star wiring

Would this work and is it ideal?

I have attached a schematic to try to explain

all help gratefully received.

Daisy wiring will work. Hardwiring Satellite Deco to each other, without switches, is an optimal solution.

@Alexandre. Thank you so much for your help. Much appreciated.

I do have a follow up question; does this mean if I use daisy wiring I need to use "access point" mode? And is this a disadvantage?

I say this because I read that

in "router mode"
Satellite Decos must be connected to the LAN port of the main Deco or a switch connected to its LAN port to avoid a network loop.

in "access point mode"

You can wire satellite Decos to any Deco unit or even directly to the existing router/modem, optimizing connections in complex setups.

You will not need to use Access Point mode.
