Hi all, I am having a Deco M5 pack of 3. Can I check can I buy a Archer BE550 Pro as the main router and still use my M5 for my rooms?

I understand that Archer and M5 cannot be under the same mesh but can I still use M5 after hard wire connect to Archer in my living room? Meaning I will have Archer Be550 and a M5 in the living room.

reason to use a Archer is because I have. 5Gbps network but unable to fully utilise them.

Yes, you can still use the M5 with BE550 but I would suggest to set M5 in AP mode to avoid the double NAT in your network.

thanks for the quick response. I am new to networking, so what's NAT? I know AP is access point but not really sure how it works too.

Whats your thoughts? Should I be getting the BE550? The ISP only provide me 5Gbps, should I go for the 10Gbps set? Is there a 5Gbps set?

To utilize 5Gbps bandwidth from your ISP you have to use 10Gbps capable device.

Here's the list of 10Gbps capable wireless routers.
