Deco compatibility with Archer AX50
Hello,
I am currently planning a build in my house. My home is long and narrow. the router and modem is in the middle of the house in the living room.
I want to put some wired (ethernet) Decos in my house, one at the front and one at the back. This will help prevent black spots.
My questions are:
1. Do I need a special router or can my existing Archer AX50 still work with the 2x X20s?
2. I have also been reading that there is some confusion about the configuration of the Decos with the router.
As i understand it, the router will remain the router and the Decos will need to be set up as APs. Is this correct? That way, the Decos are getting the wifi signal (via ethernet) from the AX50. This would look like (Deco 1 <----> Router <----> Deco 2) rather than (Router <----> Deco 1 <----> Deco 2). the first config would be preferable as i only need to run two cables from the router to the front and back rather than one from the router, then one between the Decos.
Can someone please confirm that is all correct?
Thank you!!
