Mesh extender RE550 - having issues connecting my chromecast
Hello,
I setup my extender yesterday and it's working brilliantly great speed. Last night I tried to connect my Chromecast to the new extended network. I get tot he very end of the setup and it says it can't connect to the wifi. I have phones and tablets connected to teh extended wifi and it's working fine. I googled and it said to disable the AP on my extender but I can't find where in the Tether App to do that and I can't load the 192.168.0.1 page on my phone to get into the configuration. Can anyone help me please.
Thanks,
Fiona

Hi, if you have set the Range extender to Access point mode, most devices can use the extender's WiFi normally. But only a specific device, Chromecast, cannot connect to the Extender's WiFi, it is likely that Chromecast made an error when entering the WiFi password. Please carefully check the extender's WiFi password on the Tether APP and try to connect to the extender's WiFi again.
Of course, you can also contact Chromecast's support to confirm whether you need to modify the settings on the Chromecast and ask more help from Technical support of Chromecast to connect to the WiFi.
In addition, there are other suggestions for Chromecast's inability to connect to WiFi. You can refer to other related experiences: 9 Fixes for Chromecast Wi-Fi Not Connecting - Make Tech Easier
If you want to log in to the extender's web management interface, make sure you are connected to the extender's WiFi, through 192.168.0.254 or Visit http://tplinkrepeater.net, and 192.168.0.1 is usually the path to access the wireless router's management interface.
For the suggestion of 'disable the AP on the extender' you mentioned, is there a relevant link?
